ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides cordial, responsive and accurate customer service.
Operates hand, motorized and electrical tools.
Inspects facilities and grounds to identify required maintenance and repairs.
Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles, small motorized and electrical equipment and maintenance systems.
Performs manual labor in support of maintenance and repair projects which may include routine painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry work (drywall, flooring, roofing, etc.
), structural repair and general cleaning.
Prepares and submits required written reports, logs and other records.
Cares for grounds to include mowing and trimming grass and shrubs, planting and watering vegetation, and mulching tress and shrubs.
Repairs damage to facilities and grounds.
Picks up trash.
Removes snow.
Communicates with material suppliers and contractors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Facility Technician I - A High School Diploma or a GED and one or more years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Possession of a Class C Motor Vehicle Operators License issued by the Maryland MVA (or equivalent), or the ability to obtain such a license within thirty days after employment to this position.
Additional license may be required by the employing department depending upon specific work assignment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.

GENERAL INFORMATION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple written instructions, short correspondence, and memos written in English.
Ability to write basic correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to use fractions.
Ability to perform these operations using standard units of weight measurement, volume, time and distance.
Ability to use fractions.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work activities.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
